With pressure blasting, the spray medium is pressurized with air through a pressure pot closed off by a ball-bearing, and pressed through the blasting hose. Exit speeds for the jet of up to 240 m/sec are thereby attained. This blast process is outstandingly suitable for blasting large surfaces, for the removal of enamel and strong contaminants, e.g. for screw extruder cleansing and for reducing components (shotpeening), for example in aeronautical engineering.
